Who we are
NJ Waterproofing Pros is an estimate-request service operated by cantandoDigital.
NJ Waterproofing Pros (newjerseywaterproofingpros.com) does not waterproof basements, install sump pumps or repair foundations. We pass homeowners' project details to independent basement waterproofing contractors across New Jersey. We share your request with one independent contractor who serves your area. Contractors pay us a fee to receive requests.
What we collect
When you send an estimate request, we collect:
- Your name, phone number and email address.
- The ZIP code where the work would happen.
- The service you chose, the approximate size of the area, your timeline and anything you write in the description box.
- The page you sent the request from, the page you first landed on, and the campaign source that brought you to the site: the referring site and any campaign tags in the link, such as utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, gclid or fbclid.
- A record of your consent: the date and time, your IP address and browser, the page address, the exact consent wording you were shown and its version number, and whether you ticked each consent box.
How we use it
- To send your request to the one participating contractor who covers your ZIP code.
- To give that contractor what they need to contact you about an estimate.
- To contact you about your request. If no participating contractor serves your ZIP code, we keep the request without sending it to any contractor and email you if one becomes available.
- To bill the contractor for the request, keep records of consent and opt-outs, and stop spam and fraud.
- To learn which pages and ads lead to requests so we can improve the site.
Calls, emails and text messages
The estimate form has two separate checkboxes. You must tick the first to send a request. The second is optional and stays unticked unless you tick it. They say:
I agree to be contacted about my estimate request by phone or email, including by one participating contractor who serves my area.
Yes, I agree to receive text messages about my request from NJ Waterproofing Pros and the matched contractor. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Consent is not a condition of service.
- Text messages are sent only if the optional text checkbox is checked. Leave it unticked and neither we nor the matched contractor will text you about your request.
- Reply STOP to any text message to opt out, or email us to stop texts or calls.
- Consent to texts is not a condition of service. Message and data rates may apply.
Requests we can't match
If no participating contractor serves your ZIP code, your request is kept but is not sent to any contractor. We email you if a contractor starts covering your area, and you can ask us to delete the request at any time.
How long we keep requests
A request is stored for up to 24 months after it goes to a contractor, long enough to handle questions and the contractor's fee for it. Consent and opt-out records are retained for up to 5 years as evidence we honored them. At the end of those periods the request is deleted or de-identified.
Deleting or correcting your information
Email stevenjohn@cantandoDigital.com from the address you used, or include the phone number you gave us, and tell us what you want deleted or corrected. We'll confirm within 30 days. We may keep a short note that you asked not to be contacted so we can keep respecting it. Anything the contractor already received is held by that contractor; we'll tell you who got your request so you can contact them as well.
Security
Requests are sent over encrypted connections and stored with access limited to the people and systems that need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't promise absolute security.
Children
This site is meant for adults planning work on a home. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we update the effective date at the top. Material changes apply only to requests sent after the change.
